Accommodation at Gilcreek Scout Camp
Michaelmas and Breaksea Dormitories
These two dorms can accommodate up to 27 people in each Dorm. Each dorm has a number of rooms with double bunks. Depending on the room size, some rooms will sleep four, others six or eight.
Campers will need to provide their own pillows and bedding.
Cub Shelter
The Cub Shelter (also called Bunkhouse) is a rustic wooden structure with a high pitched roof and stable doors. The elevated wooden floor is perfect for swags or air mattresses for those not wishing to use the dormitories. Will sleep up to 20. A separate Leaders room with double bunk is also available.
If you prefer, you can just use it for an indoor activity area.
Camping Sites
There are a number of cleared bush sites set up specifically for camping, with cooking fires able to be lit between April and November unless further bans are imposed. A campers kitchen is now completed containing foldout tables, chairs, fridge and microwave (electric kettle upon request) for campers to use during their stay, especially nice, when it’s raining.
